Make sure you have everything installed to build something! We're partial to Node, personally :)
You should spend some time playing around with ReadMe (it's free!). We'd love to hear your thoughts, and we'll tell you a bit more about what we're planning.
We'd like to see you work on what you know well, rather than something in our own code base. Pick a feature on an existing project, or something you've been meaning to start — the choice is yours!
We want you to get to know us as much as we want to get to know you. Ask away!
We won't ask you to reverse a binary search tree or solve the halting problem. Our goal isn't to stump you — we'll only ask questions that you would probably deal with on a day-to-day basis.
We spend most of our day ChatGPT and Stack-Overflowing, so you should feel free to during the interview. After all, we want to see how good you are at making things… not how good you are at memorization!
We have lunch catered, so we can eat and talk. You'll be able to meet the whole team!
You'll build either a new feature on an existing project, or start something new. What you work on is up to you, so bring an idea! We want to see how you work in an environment you're used to.
Get an afternoon caffeine bump with Mary, and ask about how ReadMe thinks about company culture and the people that work here.
Technical interview with Sean. He's one of our remote engineers, based in Seattle!
A chat with Greg about where ReadMe's going, both as a product and company. He's happy to answer any questions about anything!
You made it! Talk to Dom about next steps and any logistical issues on your mind.
